Some of you that know me are probably asking “what in the world is Joy up to now?” I think it’s time to let you in on my little secret.
Since childhood I have cherished opportunities to make events special for others. From birthday parties to pep rallies I love creating events that make people smile. If you take my passion for helping others create amazing events and mix that with a love for all things slightly rusty, with a hint of cracked paint, and a dash of shimmer from some bygone era and you have the birth of Vintage South.
Vintage South is a dream come true for me. Kerry and I have spent the last 15 years collecting vintage items from generations past. Even during our time as missionaries in Haiti we were on the lookout for unique items to add to our collection. Now we are using our collection to stage events such as weddings, anniversaries, corporate product launches, and parties. I get to help people see their dream event become a reality…and I LOVE IT!
We have already produced a few events but our official Grand Opening will be February 14, 2018. I have a design study with attached warehouse and showroom that will be available for brides and event coordinators to tour. I am so excited about this new adventure. The best part is that Kerry, Luke, and Jacy all have roles in the new business. I get to work with my family and on top of that a portion of all proceeds from each event will be used to continue our sponsorship program in Haiti. How could it get any better!
